Located just west of Chicago in Glen Ellyn, IL, Universal Equipment has been in the wholesale aerial lift business for nearly 20 years.
Prior to founding Universal Equipment, Inc. Alastair Robertson spent many years working for Simon, Economy, Snorkel, Grove and Skyjack and has been in the industry for most of his career. With his success he welcomed his family into the business, starting with his eldest son, Glenn. Glenn joined Universal Equipment in October of 2005 and has used his computer engineering and sales skills to revolutionize Universal Equipment, making it more streamlined and efficient. In June of 2007, Brent joined the company after his graduation from the University of Illinois and has enjoyed taking control of all buying and selling of used aerial work platforms for Universal Equipment.
Together, Alastair, Glenn and Brent are using their skills to grow the business from what was once a small brokerage into an access specialist with a full range of services.
