About Seviroli Foods
We started out as a small pastry shop in Ozone Park, Queens in 1960. Making pasta, especially tortellini, was Joseph SeviroliÂ’s real passion. Tortellini was rare in New York at the time so he purchased a machine from Italy and started manufacturing in the basement of the pastry shop.
It wasnÂ’t long until word got out about our pasta and soon people were lining up out the doorÂ…except this time it wasnÂ’t for pastries! Demand continued to rise as customers lined up around the store to get their hands on authentic Italian tortellini. Joseph quickly realized that the pastry shopÂ’s basement was not suitable for rising customer demand and decided it was time to officially open a pasta shop. That led to the purchase of a nearby building in Garden City, New York, where three additional tortellini lines were added to the facility and Seviroli Foods was officially born.
Today, we still use only authentic ingredients when making our pasta from scratch and everything is still made on equipment imported from Italy. One bite and you know it’s authentic.®
