Tomas Slade Gorton, Jr. began his career at age fourteen as a fishermanÂ’s apprentice aboard schooners that fished on the Grand Banks off Newfoundland. Early on he was driven to provide his customers with exceptional service, fair pricing and consistent access to great seafood. Today, a 5th generation of Gortons continues the legacy of the original Gorton family who made its start in the seafood business in 1849.
