We are very proud of our history because it shows the resilience and consistency of hard work, passion and perseverance.
Our journey began when G&B Maintenance, Inc. was established as a partnership cleaning homes and industrial buildings. The initials G&B stand for the two partners, Gonzalez and Betancourt. Within one year the company grew to 100 accounts! The following year the partnership was bought out by Domingo Betancourt who at the time was still working at Thermo Systems, Inc.
DomingoÂ’s wife, Daipatie Betancourt was a successful and up and coming employee for All State Insurance Company. She joined the mission of G&B due to her office transferring to a new location. Her career change has proven to be the most rewarding and successful event of G&B. Her professionalism and passion proved to steer G&B Maintenance to new frontiers and goals. New lines were drawn and a new vision emerged. G&B Maintenance was going to evolve into a dominant player in the Jan/San distribution industry. The vision was to focus on supplying contractors and commercial buildings the top brands of janitorial supplies. The new discovered vision was quickly complimented by an equipment repair center where contractors and individuals could bring their vacuums or ride on scrubbers to be repaired or maintained.
The company was renamed to G&B Janitorial Supply and Daipatie Betancourt became the president of the company.
The company was incorporated in 1992 and is a certified minority, women owned company! We are very proud of its growth and passion. The company saw its growth while operating in Middlesex, NJ. The showroom allowed contractors to come in and experience the products, equipments, repair center and personnel.
