Captain Ken's Foods is a manufacturer and marketer of a diverse line of premium food products for the foodservice and retail markets. After early retirement, the Company was founded in 1967 by Ken Freiberg, a Captain in the St. Paul Fire Department. Today, the Company is celebrating 55 years of producing quality food products. All products are pre-cooked and flash frozen, just heat and serve, offering operators and consumers convenience, flexibility, and value. The Company is located in St. Paul, Minnesota. The facility is USDA- and -FDA inspected and certified. Captain Ken’s diverse line of premium restaurant quality products include multiple recipes of chili (Beef, Chicken, and Vegetarian with varying flavor profiles); oven-baked bean recipes (not canned) made from scratch including oven-baked beans in BBQ Sauce with naturally smoked pulled pork; oven-baked beans with bacon; and calico beans with bacon and cheese. Other side dishes include potato products such as Au Gratin Potatoes, Cheesy Hashbrowns, and Tater Casserole. One of our most popular and fastest growing lines is taco meat. Other recipes include Spanish Rice with Red, Green, and Jalapeño Peppers; Sloppy Joe Sauce Topping; and our popular Macaroni & Cheese. The Company offers production capabilities for producing premium roux based soups and more. Captain Ken’s products touch over 40 states and Canada through multiple broad-line distributors and wholesalers. Customers include restaurants, caterers, casinos, fast casual chain accounts, delis, casinos, schools, convenience stores, grocery stores, and more.
