Since 1976, Distinctive Foods has been an established industry resource for professional buyers looking for value-added, quality foods and food manufacturing expertise, both in volume quantities as well as smaller, artisanal batch runs. In 2000, with the merger of Chicago Flats™, a niche manufacturing company with tunnel-oven capabilities and a cult-like following and Pie Piper™, a premium USDA batch bakery, the Distinctive Foods umbrella was created. Launched by a team of experienced food company executives with an entrepreneurial spirit and a strong background in product management, and partnering with the Vienna Beef Company, Distinctive Foods was built around three key product lines: Crackers; Desserts; and Enrobed Proteins (Bagel Dogs, Pretzel Dogs, Hawaiian Bread Dogs). Distinctive Foods operates in two Chicago, IL based SQF certified facilities. Our export markets have grown to serve Asia, Europe, as well as all of North America.
