In 1963, founder D.R. Slough created Associated Chemicals Corporation in Quincy, IL. In May of 1974, he purchased Illinois Missouri Restaurant & Janitorial Supply Company. Then both entities were combined under the new name AREA DISTRIBUTORS, INC.
