http://www.decofoodservice.comBeginning in 1973 as Needles Frozen Food Lockers, Larry and Pamela Deatley, offered custom cut beef, frozen locker space and Carnation milk & dairy deliveries to local grocery stores, hospitals and homes. Custom meat processing & freezer locker rental were offered until 1978, when a flash flood destroyed the original Indian adobe building. After the rebuilding process, the growth of the Carnation dairy business and in response to customer requests for expansion to more broad line product offerings, the business transformed to Needles Cold Storage. From 1978 to 1987, the explosive tristate business growth precipitated the building of the first warehouse facility. When sons Derek and David Deatley joined the business full time in 1992, they brought with them the vision to transform the existing business into Deco Foodservice. Derek designed and modified the existing warehouse facility to accommodate the additional product lines that David would be offering to an ever expanding customer base. Disaster struck again on May 15, 2000, when a fire totally destroyed the warehouse on Front Street. Within days temporary refrigeration & replacement product was brought in from the Los Angeles area, Deco Foodservice ran trucks around the clock so that delivery disruption was kept to a minimum. 45 days later, the state of the art warehouse that exists today was started, though not completed until May of 2001, Deco Foodservice maintained the excellent customer service that started with that first dairy delivery in 1973. With over 40 years in the business, Deco Foodservice is a family owned and operated company committed to the continued growth and success of the business community in the tristate region.
